I rarely have to use my heater to warm my apartment. The computers in here, along with the good fellows bellow me keep me warm. During the summer however, and with an average credit like that just starting out, you may want to check this out: a homemade air conditioner for under $25.
You could stick all your boxes in a closet and use this bad ass, cool idea.

Oh well. The stats-explosion is due to some nice main-server and some well-fitnessed backup server. Unfortunately both run xen and thus linux (for better flexibility of choice) as host.
Btw, AC -- the racks are located in the (dusty) basement; without AC (but fans and filters) so far :-/

ah, finally replaced my dusty desktop
My old server, now parts, is replaced with my old desktop - and respectfully renamed hamper, as it sits in my closet with dirty clothes.
I don't know which is worse, dust or odor.
